Petrus Koning 1787 -1834

Unlike in the Italian wax models from wich he took his inspiration, Koning did not depict ideal human bodies but modelled the dead persons realistically. He also showed the less aesthetic fat layers. The descriptions are translated from Koning’s own catalogue of his collection.
